The father, an office worker in a company in Vigo, Spain, asked for an adjustment of his working hours to reconcile work and family life, but this was not granted.

He has two young children and commutes 28 kilometres to work every day, his wife is employed in a hospital and works shifts. As a result, he has to adapt his working day to take his children to and from school. From the pandemic until August 2023 he teleworked and now has a reduced working day in the morning.

The Social Court number 2 of Vigo, Spain, considers that the company "did not take his request seriously" and sees what he is asking for as "reasonable". Read more.
