An important judgement in Spain recognises as an accident at work the mental problems caused to a worker of extreme content on social networks.

The worker was a moderator of Meta (Facebook). His daily task was to view and classify content so that it would not be published on social networks. He had to watch content related to terrorism and suicides, self-mutilations, beheadings, torture.

As a result of his work, he was on medical leave, with panic attacks, isolation at home, nocturnal awakenings.

A court in Barcelona, Spain, has ruled that the temporary incapacity is an accident at work and not a common illness, as the company claimed. Read more.
